A different studio with a confusing name
Turbo Games is two things in the Mines world. Spribe uses the name for its own line of quick games, which is where Spribe's Mines lives. And Turbo Games is also an independent studio at turbogames.io, which describes itself as "a B2B game studio licensed by the MGA (Malta), ONJN (Romania) and GCGRA (UAE)". This page is about the studio's games.
Mines: the classic
The studio's Mines launched in May 2021. It uses the familiar 5 × 5 grid with diamonds and mines; in its demo you can set from 2 to 24 mines, with 3 as the default and quick buttons for 3, 5, 10 and 20. The studio lists a 95% RTP and a maximum multiplier of ×456,660. In the demo, stakes run from $0.10 to $100 and a win is capped at $10,000.
What 95% means next to Spribe's 97%
Both games follow the same maths: the fair multiplier times the RTP. The studio's demo rounds to the cent, where Spribe cuts down. Here are the multipliers for 3 mines as each demo showed them:
| Diamonds or stars | Turbo Games (95%) | Spribe (97%) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.08× | 1.10× |
| 2 | 1.23× | 1.25× |
| 3 | 1.42× | 1.44× |
| 4 | 1.64× | 1.67× |
| 5 | 1.92× | 1.95× |
| 6 | 2.25× | 2.30× |
| 7 | 2.68× | 2.73× |
Same chance of reaching each row, slightly lower pay. Over many rounds that gap is two cents in every dollar staked. One more detail from the demo's code: the RTP is read from the casino's launch settings and only falls back to 95 if none is given, so check the rules screen in the casino's copy.
Turbo Mines: faster, bigger grids
Turbo Mines, released in September 2022, adds grid sizes: "Switch between 3x3, 5x5, 7x7 and 9x9 to tune your own risk rate." It can also save your pattern of opened tiles and replay it across rounds at speed. The studio lists 95% RTP and multipliers up to ×805,001.
Predictors and apps
The studio is blunt about add-ons: "Any tool, app or signal that claims to predict Mines is a scam — the math makes prediction impossible." It also says there is "no official Mines APK, predictor, signal bot or payout app". More on Mines apps.
Pros
- Up to 24 mines, for the steepest multipliers on a 5×5 grid
- Turbo Mines adds 3×3, 7×7 and 9×9 grids
- A free demo runs in any browser
Cons
- 95% RTP, two points below Spribe's 97%, so every multiplier is lower
- The operator can set a different RTP when it launches the game
- At least 2 mines; there's no 1-mine setting
My verdict
Turbo Games makes a solid Mines with more mine options than Spribe's, but you pay for them: at 95% RTP every cash-out is about 2% smaller than Spribe's for the same risk. If a lobby offers both, the numbers favour Spribe.
