Play Mines free, with the real odds on screen

How the free demo works

Each round hides the mines at random in your browser. Open tiles one at a time: every gem moves you up the ladder, and Cash out banks the current multiplier. Hit a mine and the round ends at zero. Random opens a tile for you, which is exactly as good as choosing one yourself. Spribe's own buttons and autoplay are explained in how to play Mines.

The multiplier shown is the fair multiplier times 0.97, cut down to the cent, the same rule Spribe's own table follows. On 18 of Spribe's 290 cells the casino game shows one cent less than ours, where the exact value is already a round number of cents. You can check any number against the odds calculator.

What the demo is good for

• Feeling the odds. Twenty rounds with 10 mines show quickly what a 60% first click means.
• Testing a plan. Pick a mine count and a cash-out point and stick to it for 50 rounds. Your average will drift towards 97 cents per dollar, as the strategy page explains.
• Learning the buttons before you open a casino's version.

The provider's own demo

Spribe runs a demo of Mines in fun currency on its own site. It has the full range of mine counts, the autoplay controls and the provably fair window where you can read your seeds. If you want to see the exact game a casino would load, that's the one to open. It is linked in the sources below.

When you want to play for money

Online casinos are not licensed in Australia, and a casino's Mines may round, cap or limit differently. Our checklist for a casino is on Mines for real money.
