What Spribe's Mines is
In Spribe's own words: "In this game, there are stars and land mines hidden on the field. Goal is to open as many stars as possible and don't blow up on the mine." The field is 5 × 5, the mine dropdown runs from 1 to 20, and you can cash out after every star. It launched on 14 June 2019 as one of seven games in Spribe's Turbo Games pack.
A naming trap: Turbo Games is both the name of Spribe's game line and the name of a separate studio, turbogames.io, with its own Mines. That one is covered on Turbo Games Mines.
The multiplier table, checked
Spribe's demo carries its full multiplier table in its settings. Here are three of its columns as the demo shows them:
| Stars opened | 3 mines | 5 mines | 10 mines |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.10× | 1.21× | 1.61× |
| 2 | 1.25× | 1.53× | 2.77× |
| 3 | 1.44× | 1.95× | 4.90× |
| 4 | 1.67× | 2.53× | 8.98× |
| 5 | 1.95× | 3.32× | 17.16× |
| 6 | 2.30× | 4.43× | 34.32× |
Every cell is 0.97 ÷ (chance of reaching it), cut down to the cent rather than rounded: with 3 mines and one star the exact value is 1.1023×, and the game pays 1.10×. I checked all 290 cells for 1 to 20 mines this way; 272 match to the cent, and 18 show one cent less where the exact value is already a whole number of cents. None pays more than the formula.
The cut costs a little. Across the table the true return per cash-out point runs from 96.25% (2 mines, 3 stars) to 97.00%.
Limits and the real maximum
Spribe gives the maximum odds as 5,044,291×, which is 12 mines with all 13 stars opened. The rules add: "the maximum win is limited by the operator and can be accessed from the 'Game Limits' section in the menu." In the demo the stake runs from $0.10 to $100 and one bet can win at most $10,000.
Timers and dropped connections
Leave a round idle and Spribe's game cashes out by itself after 30 seconds, showing a countdown for the last 10. If the connection drops during a live bet, it "will auto cash out with the current multiplier". If the software itself fails, affected bets are void and refunded.
Checking a round
Every bet has Round Details in the game's Bet History: the field, your client seed and the server seed. Compare the server seed with the SHA256 hash shown before the round and you know it wasn't swapped. The walk-through, and the one step Spribe leaves unpublished, is on is it rigged?.
Pros
- The multipliers match the 97% formula across the whole table, so the odds calculator predicts every payout
- Round Details show each round's field and both seeds
- Auto cash-out after 30 idle seconds, and on a dropped connection, so a round never sits unpaid
Cons
- Fewer mine options than other versions (20 at most, not 24)
- Multipliers are cut down to the cent, which trims the true RTP to between 96.25% and 97.00%
- Spribe doesn't publish how the hash becomes mine positions, so you can't rebuild a field yourself
My verdict
Spribe Mines is the version to know: the numbers are exactly what the maths says, minus 3% and a cent-cut. Stake's 99% is higher on paper but excludes Australia; the Turbo Games studio's version pays 95%. Play Spribe's free demo first; that's where every figure on this page comes from.
